My name's LJ and I'll be hosting your Wine tasting. The most unpretentious sommelier you'll meet. I want wine to be accessible to everyone and for you to feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy drinking the wine! I like to choose wines you may not have tried and hope to broaden your knowledge whilst having some fun.
My Story
I've been working in wine for 15 years. After working in many wine bars across London, I moved to Essex in 2020 and became Head Sommelier at a Vineyard in Essex, specialising in English wine, where I discussed wines on BBC Essex, appeared on the ITV show Georgia & Tommy - 'Babysteps' giving tastings, credited on The sun Online & have had personal high praise from Oz Clarke himself when he visited.
Working in Wine, I found some tastings can be intimidating and overwhelming and so my aim is to make learning about wine enjoyable! I started my own company to bring my fun, friendly, informative Wine Tastings to your home. You'll enjoy learning about the climates, the grapes, the vineyards, aromas & tasting notes of different wines from around the world, all in the comfort of your own surroundings. Whether it be a dinner party or a date night, I love imparting my knowledge and making it a unique, thoroughly enjoyable experience for all. There won't be a spitoon in sight.
